 Rumors: Ashlee Dating Another Man & Custody Battle

Well, there have been a lot of rumors circulating the web about Ashlee dating Craig Owens, member of the band D.R.U.G.S. singed to Pete’s Decaydance Records. According to sources they where seen hanging out at and L.A. Mall, but a according to PEOPLE, a source close to the singer/actress says reports of a budding romance with Owens ARE NOT TRUE.

“Craig is a longtime friend and was comforting Ashlee during this difficult time,” the Simpson source tells PEOPLE. “She’s not moving on. There’s no race for a new relationship. They’re friends.”

Recent reports that Simpson, 26, and Wentz, 31, are gearing up for a custody battle are also untrue, according to the source. “Ashlee and Pete’s split is amicable and they’re working together to make this as positive a situation for Bronx as possible.”

“Right now her attention is on Bronx and some new work projects she has coming up. That’s it.”

 Ashlee Simpson And Pete Wentz Headed To Court In Custody Case

The amicable split between Pete Wentz and soon-to-be ex-wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz appears to be taking a slightly less friendly turn. The couple, who separated earlier this year and seemed to be on good terms, appear to be headed to court to resolve a brewing custody dispute over their 2-year-old son, Bronx.

According to TMZ, Wentz filed papers on Monday in response to Simpson’s divorce petition. The former Fall Out Boy bassist asked that a judge grant joint physical and legal custody of their son and requested that each spouse pay their own legal fees. The gossip site also claimed to have obtained a copy of the divorce petition, in which lawyers for Simpson-Wentz checked a box indicating that she wanted primary physical custody of the toddler and that she wanted Wentz to pay her legal fees as well. Just to let you know: Ashlee and Pete were seen having a Valentine’s Day lunch with their son Bronx on a Beverly Hills hotel in California yesterday February 14 (Photo). Despite the divorce announcement you can see they really care about having a good relationship mainly becuase of little Bronx. We hope the best for them! We would love to see a reconciliation but according to sources, Ashlee’s decition is final and we totally support her.

 Ashlee moves with Jessica

Ashlee Simpson has moved in with her sister Jessica following her break-up with Pete Wentz.

The 26-year-old singer – who announced she would be divorcing the former Fall Out Boy rocker last week after two years of marriage – has gone to stay with her sibling and partner Eric Johnson, and taken her three-year-old son Bronx Mowgli there while she deals with the split.

A source said: “Leaving Pete was tough for Ashlee and she needed to be with her family.

“Jessica told her she and Bronx were welcome to stay with them until she was ready to find a place of her own.”

Jessica and Eric are taking good care of Ashlee and Bronx in their home and are thought to be praying for her to get through the tough time.

The source added to In Touch: “There have been a lot of family dinners and lots of praying. Ashlee couldn’t have asked for better support.”

Although Ashlee has gone to spend time with her family, Pete is believed to have taken the break-up badly and spent a lot of time crying about the divorce.

A source recently said: “Pete has been crying a lot to her about this. He is crushed, and does not want it to be over.

“Ashlee is done, she loves him, but she’s ready to move on. When he travelled for work, she had a lot of time to think and in the end just felt happier without him.”

 Ashlee Simpson & Pete Wentz Married Too Young, Says Source

There is no smoking gun in the split between Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz. Instead, blame the pressures of adult life for causing their marriage to crumble, a source tells PEOPLE.

“It was honestly a classic case of marrying young, having a kid young and growing apart over the years,” says source, who is close to Simpson. (The couple wed in May 2008 when Simpson was 23 and Wentz was 28.)

For the famous young pair, the demands of career versus family also caused strain on the relationship. “When you don’t spend a whole lot of time together, things become challenged,” says the source.

Since giving birth to son Bronx, 2, Simpson has kept a low profile to focus on family, but the singer-actress missed working.

“Ashlee was the one with Bronx a lot of the time, and that’s a lot,” the source tells PEOPLE. “Ashlee loves being a mom, but she also loves being a performer and she wants to badly get back to that.”

Meanwhile, Wentz, 31, “was away from [Ashlee and Bronx] a ton working himself, and the balance was just off,”

Another source told PEOPLE Wednesday that things between the exes are “very amicable. “[Ashlee and Pete] are on very friendly terms and speaking – it’s fine.”

 Ashlee Simpson And Pete Wentz: A Timeline Of Their Love

On Wednesday (February 9), news broke that after nearly three years of marriage, Ashlee Simpson had filed for divorce from Pete Wentz. But even in the early stages of their courtship, Simpson and Wentz were plagued by rumors about their relationship.

Shortly after they started dating — after meeting at the MTV VMAs in 2006 — the gossip pages began speculating about the pair, who were often open about addressing the talk. In 2007 (months after they’d gone public), Simpson was preparing her next album when Wentz flatly denied he was working on new music with his girlfriend. “That’s pretty much the silliest recent rumor I have read,” he said. “Mostly [because] I want no part in selling a relationship. I mean, it is not true. She hasn’t really played me any of [her album]. I heard part of a demo that I liked, though.

“I mean, reports getting out are a bummer when they are absolutely not true. But at the same time you have to understand that this is part of the territory.”

Months later, the two were fighting off rumors that the tight-knit Simpson clan hadn’t been very welcoming of Wentz. Despite the speculation, though, Wentz and Simpson seemed like a close couple, often appearing at events together showing support for each other’s projects. And in April 2008, the duo became engaged.  Breaking News: Ashlee Simpson files for divorce from Pete Wentz

Ashlee Simpson has filed for divorce from Pete Wentz after less than three years of marriage.

Simpson-Wentz, 26, and Wentz, 31, signed documents Monday and filed them Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences. There was no third party in the case.

The spIit between the singer-actress and the musician was “very amicable,” sources tell People.

“They’ve just grown apart. They’ve been growing apart for quite some time.”

But TMZ is saying that Jessica Simpson’s little sis couldn’t handle the former Fall Out Boy bassist’s “erratic behavior.”

The couple married in May 2008 after dating for about two years. They have a 2-year-old son, Bronx Mowgli Wentz, of whom Simpson-Wentz is seeking primary physical custody with visitation for her soon-to-be-ex.

“dont forget 2 notice-when i look into the lil dudes eyes & smile, the way he loves. i realize @ashsimpsonwentz is a good moma + so much more,” Wentz tweeted Monday.

Simpson-Wentz is also seeking spousal support from Wentz, who is touring with his new band, Black Cards. She plans to drop “Wentz” from her last name.

For Ashlee Simpson and hubby Pete Wentz, a simple trip to Starbucks is like a catwalk!

The stylish twosome left 2-year-old son Bronx at home to spend some adult time together over some morning java.

We love Ash’s cute pixie cut and Burberry coat. As for Pete’s ‘do … we’re thinking the boy could use some hair gel ASAP! – Pete’s blonde wifey is planning to release a new album towards the end of this year. Let’s hope her songs are as sexy as her new look!

 Pete wants to take his family to work with him

Pete Wentz plans to take his family on tour.The 31-year-old rocker – who has a two-year-old son Bronx Mowgli with wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz – has been in “dad-land” over the last year and is looking forward to returning to work with new band Black Cards, particularly as his child is now old enough to “see the world”.

Pete said: “The great thing right now is that my family is very mobile and are able to tour with me. And I think that’s the only thing that would’ve been a hurdle. But the fact they’re kind of able to go, I want to be back out there.

“And it’s really cool to be able to see the world and to do it on a record company’s dime, so I’d like to kind of do that and I’d like to show my son the world as well.” Read more »

 “Tränenschwer”

So I was looking down into Ashlee’s repertory of registered songs and I found one that I never heard about before: “Tränenschwer” – At first I tought it was a new song but then I realized that it is registered with Ashlee, Kara Dioguardi, John Shanks and Simon Triebel as song writters so that made me think that maybe it was from the “I Am Me” era.

After searching about it I found that Simon is member of a German band named “Juli” and that “Tränenschwer” is a german version of Ashlee’s “Autobiography” – “Tränenschwer” means something like “Difficult Tears” -Just wanted to post it as a random fact, I had never heard about it before!

And for the curious, I let you here “”Tränenschwer” by Juli (Ashlee’s version is way better LOL!) :

Not to be outdone by his parents, Bronx sported a sweet Stella McCartney for BabyGap jacket. Cute!

 Sighting: Pete Wentz, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz spend New Year’s Eve at Hard Rock Hotel

Pete Wentz hosted “Ciroc the New Year 2011,” a Ciroc Vodka-sponsored New Year’s Eve party, at the Hard Rock Hotel on Friday. The Fall Out Boy and Black Cards bassist was joined by his wife, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz.

Just before midnight, Wentz had the DJ play a special dedication “to the most beautiful woman at the party tonight, my wife Ashlee.” Fall Out Boy and The Damned Things drummer Andy Hurley was also in attendance.

 Wentz praises ‘welcoming’ Simpson family

Pete Wentz has praised the family of his wife Ashlee Simpson for their “welcoming” nature.

The Fall Out Boy bassist, who married Simpson back in May 2008, stated that her loved ones had worked to build a strong relationship with him, and expressed confidence that they would do the same for his sister-in-law Jessica’s new fiancé Eric Johnson.

He told People: “The great thing about being part of the Simpson family is that they’re really welcoming – you feel right at home right away. They’re my home away from home on the West Coast. It’s really easy and natural to transition into the family.”

The ‘I Don’t Care’ star also gushed about his wife’s ability to keep their marriage fresh and fulfilling.

“The great thing about Ashlee is that she finds the romantic moments for me in everything. We’ll be on the plane and she’ll remember that this is the anniversary of our first flight together. She can always find the romantic side of everything. We’re best friends so it’s just really easy.”
