Jessica Simpson is no stranger to the front row, but to show her own collection during New York Fashion Week, the blonde bombshell is saying “no” to the runway and to professional models! Instead, Jessica plans to host a private presentation to preview her spring 2011 apparel and accessories collection, and showcase her new denim line using 8 of her best friends as models.

Enlisting the likes of sister Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and close friend Cacee Cobb, Jessica will dress her nearest and dearest in her debut denim line as well as jewelry and apparel from her fall/holiday collection. The models will mingle with fashion editors and guests while brother-in-law Pete Wentz spins tunes.

Ashlee Simpson takes her husband Pete Wentz and their adorable 1-year-old son, Bronx Wentz, to Target for some shopping on Saturday (August 21) in California. Clutching her son in one hand, the 25-year-old singer giggled as she held onto her Fall Out Boy husband’s hand while going down the escalator. Update: Kate, an Ashlee-Star.com visitor has just refresh our memory saying that last May 11, 2008 when Ashlee was doing some “Bittersweet World” promo in the UK, Ashlee revealed in the “Nokia Green Room” show that the first song she ever wrote with her music pal Ray (her guitarist) was a song named “Backstreet Driver” – Checking out the registration info, we can CONFIRM that it’s the same song she talked about, since the two of them (Ray and Ashlee) are registrated as the writters. Ashlee was photographed taking son Bronx Mowgli Wentz for a stroll in NYC this week.
