 New Candids: Century City, California

Jessica Simpson and her sister Ashlee Simpson-Wentz spent nine hours in a lawyer’s office on Wednesday. The somber Simpson gals were spotted leaving the office with their mother Tina Simpson.

So what was all the drama about? We’re not sure — but it may have something to do with Ashlee’s divorce filing. Despite the filing, Ashlee and Pete Wentz are practically inseparable these days. The pair were recently spotted holding hands in Beverly Hills. Maybe the lawyer’s visit is a sign of reconciliation. We’re pulling for those two.

Ashlee has been spending a lot of time with her big sis. Earlier this month, she and her son Bronx Mowgli joined Jess, as she posed for a scantily clad photo shoot in Beverly Hills.

Jessica lived by the “no pants, no problem” motto, as she was snapped sans pants at a photo shoot.
