Healthy Hollywood: Ashlee Simpson-Wentz’s Hot Mama Home Workout

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz looks super fit. But, she told us at the recent Reebok event in LA, it was a lot of hard work to lose the pregnancy pounds after having her now 19-month old son, Bronx. “I gained 50 pounds and it was awesome. But then after I had Bronx I wanted to get into shape.” So, Ashlee upped the cardio. “My goal is to get on the treadmill for thirty minutes a day. When he takes a nap, I bring his monitor (into workout room), throw on my shoes…and get on the treadmill.” A busy mom, like Ashlee, has little time to hit the gym.
The good news for those of us without Ashlee’s bank account or a home gym, is there are exercises that be done at home using common household objects. As Reebok’s celebrity trainer Yumi Lee reveals, “When you’re at home and you have five minutes, grab a laundry detergent bottle, or a water bottle – anything that’s lying around the house and use it. Ashlee Simpson: How I Lost 50 Pounds After Bronx!

Hot mama Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is super svelte these days, but she had a lot of baby weight to lose after having her son Bronx.
“I gained 50 pounds, which was awesome!” she told me at Reebok’s fitness event today. “I ate cake and cupcakes. I had a blast!”
While it wasn’t so fun losing the weight she put on, Ash said she had a little extra help with her workout regimen…
She says the secret’s in her Reebok EasyTone shoes, which claim to tone your butt and thighs just by wearing them.
“When I wanted to get back into shape, I worked out and these shoes are amazing because you can really feel them in your booty,” she swore. “But I also worked out and ate healthy.”
Nowadays, she still lifting weight: her growing son. “I carry Bronx, and he’s 33 pounds so I get my workout in,” she laughed.
But Ash says that she hasn’t quit logging time on the treadmill, adding: ”I try to hit the gym for 30 minutes while Bronx is napping.”
The actress-singer seems to have majorly downsized her work schedule since appearing in Chicago on Broadway, but she’s happy to take a break from her career (along with a recent trip to Hawaii with her hubby and baby). “Being a mom is my first priority and it’s amazing because you grow up and watch your child grow up,” she explained. “It’s the best thing in the whole entire world.”
And even though both Ashlee and sister Jessica have done reality shows, it doesn’t sound like we’ll see ever see the two doing a Simpson sister show.
“I’m a Wentz now, but no,” Ash added. “No plans for a reality show.”

Pete Wentz Proud Of ‘Nice’ Son

Pete Wentz is extremely proud of his 18-month-old son Bronx Mowgli because he has started to empathise with other people
Pete Wentz says his son is becoming a “big, smart and nice boy” who looks after his friends.
The rocker is very proud of 18-month-old Bronx Mowgli – his child with wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz – because he is so interested in helping others.
He told People: “I’ve seen his empathy. If another kid falls down or if you burned yourself, he just hugs you or nods into you. Seeing empathy grow in him is awesome. He’s a big, smart and nice boy.”
Pete, 31, also revealed he has learnt a lot about parenting from his own mother and father, Dale and Pete.
He explained: “Basically, it’s OK for your kid to make a mistake as long as you give them a safety net.”
Ashlee, 25, recently revealed Bronx Mowgli is a fan of his dad’s former band Fall Out Boy.
She said: “He’s definitely heard Fall Out Boy and my music, too, but we play everything for him. He gets to choose his own kind of music.”

Ashlee Simpson treats Pete Wentz to a birthday surprise

Pete Wentz celebrated his 31st birthday last night at his LA bar Angels and Kings with wife Ashlee Simpson by his side. Unlike the Fall Out Boy frontman’s raucous Las Vegas bash last year – which resulted in Pete getting into an altercation with a photographer - this year’s party was decidedly tame.
In fact, with pinatas and Tootsie Rolls decorating the velvet-draped restaurant it looked fit for a children’s party.
But of course it was still an adult-only affair, meaning that Pete and Ashlee’s son Bronx stayed home with Ashlee’s sister Jessica, who tweeted about swimming and eating hot dogs with the 19-month old.
Pete looked ever the dapper dad in a charcoal suit coat with a black T-shirt and slim fit black pants. Ashlee kept it sexy in a short black dress with a trendy lace asymmetrical shoulder. Read more »
