 New Candids: Travel Town Museum

As a good deal of celebrity splits and divorces wind up imploding into a messy war, it’s great to see that Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson are able to keep things civil and still enjoy some family time with their kids.

The duo, who announced their divorce in early February much to the surprise of many, were out and about with their son Bronx on Thursday. The happy family hit up Travel Town Museum in Los Angeles. Little Bronx even took a train ride through the park!

Wentz and Simpson have been spotted together several times since their divorce, even once holding hands as they strolled down the street. Their post-split closeness has caused many to speculate that the two are either trying to work things out, or are already back together.

 Ashlee Simpson Rocks Her Anthrax Tee

Ashlee Simpson was spotted picking up plastic crates at Bed Bath and Beyond yesterday, and after moving in with her older sister Jessica in February, it appears as though the singer/actress needs a little help organizing her belongings.

Just two weeks ago Ashlee and Pete were spotted holding hands at a local Starbucks, and after that we’ve wondered when we would catch the two together again…

 Ashlee Simpson & Pete Wentz: Back Together?

Are Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz reconciling – or just very amicably split?

Dressed causally as they soaked up some southern California sunshine – with Wentz carrying 2-year-old Bronx on one hip – the young family stopped by the Beverly Glen Mall in Los Angeles Thursday and picked up some coffee and iced tea at a Starbucks.

“Ashlee and Pete held hands, and Pete especially looked very happy,” an onlooker says. “While waiting for their drinks, Pete had his arm around Ashlee and they definitely looked like a couple again.”

Added the onlooker: “Ashlee kept smiling and lovingly leaned on Pete.”

Though they look friendlier than ever, this isn’t their first post-split outing. They’ve continued to hang out as a family, even after Simpson filed for divorce in February. Read more »

 New Candids: Out & About in Los Angeles

Looking as if she may be gearing up to decorate a bachelorette pad, Ashlee Simpson spent the day browsing the offerings at a local furniture store in Los Angeles, California on Monday (March 14).

The newly single Hollywood mommy was accompanied by her mother, Tina, and young son, Bronx, as the trio rummaged around Lotus Home for possible new home decor purchases.

 Ashlee and Pete spend the weekend together

There are some couples that will do everything they can to avoid each other after they split. And there are others, like Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz, who can’t seem to be able to let go.

The  couple, who filed for divorce from each other last month, were spotted together this weekend picking up brunch. And they looked quite cosy hidden under their hoodies, suggesting something of a late one the night before.

The pair, who have been married for almost three years, stopped at the drive-through window of a Taco Bell restaurant on March 13.

Both had grins on their faces as they checked out their menu and placed their order, while Ashlee hid her eyes under huge black sunglasses. They were also spotted together on Saturday morning, also ordering at a drive-though window, but this time at a branch of fast food chain In-N-Out Burger’s.

Both looked happy and relaxed as they chose their lunch and drove off in Pete’s shiny black 4×4.

 Pete Wentz Has ‘Nothing but Love and Respect’ for Ashlee Simpson

Despite his recent split and possible custody fight over son Bronx, 2, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz appear to be amicable exes.

Two days after the former couple drove together to a Hollywood In-N-Out Burger, Wentz, 31, called into Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM morning show to discuss his new band, Black Cards, and to praise Simpson, 26.

“It’s like Ashlee’s been my best friend for five years,” Wentz said Monday. “She’s the mother of my child. I have nothing but love and respect for her. Going through something like this isn’t easy, but we’re friends, and the most important thing is to put our son first.”

Wentz says keeping the details of his divorce private is tough, though, fortunately, the celebrity news cycle has been busy lately. Read more »

 Rumors: Ashlee Dating Another Man & Custody Battle

Well, there have been a lot of rumors circulating the web about Ashlee dating Craig Owens, member of the band D.R.U.G.S. singed to Pete’s Decaydance Records. According to sources they where seen hanging out at and L.A. Mall, but a according to PEOPLE, a source close to the singer/actress says reports of a budding romance with Owens ARE NOT TRUE.

“Craig is a longtime friend and was comforting Ashlee during this difficult time,” the Simpson source tells PEOPLE. “She’s not moving on. There’s no race for a new relationship. They’re friends.”

Recent reports that Simpson, 26, and Wentz, 31, are gearing up for a custody battle are also untrue, according to the source. “Ashlee and Pete’s split is amicable and they’re working together to make this as positive a situation for Bronx as possible.”

“Right now her attention is on Bronx and some new work projects she has coming up. That’s it.”

 Ashlee Simpson And Pete Wentz Headed To Court In Custody Case

The amicable split between Pete Wentz and soon-to-be ex-wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz appears to be taking a slightly less friendly turn. The couple, who separated earlier this year and seemed to be on good terms, appear to be headed to court to resolve a brewing custody dispute over their 2-year-old son, Bronx.

According to TMZ, Wentz filed papers on Monday in response to Simpson’s divorce petition. The former Fall Out Boy bassist asked that a judge grant joint physical and legal custody of their son and requested that each spouse pay their own legal fees. The gossip site also claimed to have obtained a copy of the divorce petition, in which lawyers for Simpson-Wentz checked a box indicating that she wanted primary physical custody of the toddler and that she wanted Wentz to pay her legal fees as well.
